The Meet & Greet – getting to know you and your dog, gathering information
I do a free introduction – a Meet and Greet – where your sitter/walker will come to your home to meet you and your dog(s). This is an opportunity for you to get to know me, and for me to get to know you and your dog(s). I will gather information about your dog’s routines and habits as well as learning the location of everything they need. The Meet & Greet takes about 20+ minutes for me to get the information I need. If you feel you need more time to get to know your caregiver, I will be happy to stay longer. If you wish to have a second Meet and Greet, that can be done at the regular visit rate.

Preparing for the Meet & Greet

For your convenience, a Meet and Greet preparedness info packet can be downloaded here.  Prior to the Meet and Greet we will set up your account in the online system, if you have not already registered. I need your name, phone, address and email to set up your profile. It is helpful if you can complete your registration with your dog’s profile prior to the meeting. This way you can review the information at the Meet and Greet and the sitter/walker can ask for clarifications as needed. If you aren’t able to complete it prior to the meeting, no problem! I will get the information from you when we meet.

At the Meet & Greet, I will ask for detailed information because we are professional dog walkers and pet sitters.  I therefore always think ahead about the what-if factor and plan accordingly. What-if your dog gets sick and you can’t be reached? What-if your dogs don’t like loud noises and hide on garbage day? For vacation care, what if a pipe freezes and bursts in your home or your basement floods and you can’t be reached? It is my intention to provide you with peace of mind whenever you are away from home

Keys
Please have 2 sets of house keys (or one set plus garage code) ready for us at the Meet and Greet.
